Hi, I’m Rachael Lopez.
I’m a writer living among the gumtrees and vineyards in Melbourne’s north.
I discovered a love of fusing the old with the new when studying photography and this continued as I shifted to study theology.
One of my interests was exploring new forms of monastic life and I had the amazing opportunity to experience it for myself when I joined the Community of St Anselm in 2015. My husband and I lived at Lambeth Palace for a year with a group of young adults from different ethnic and church backgrounds.
It was during that year I found my vocation to be a writer and upon returning I started this blog to encourage believers and communities to experience the old, embrace the new and explore how to do both.
Head to my home page to find articles, interviews, book reviews and music playlists as I unearth the treasures of an ancient future faith.
Contact me if you’re interested in publishing my writing or having me speak at your event.
